Through fixed asset investments totaling 43.7 billion RMB (76.5 times the sum of the previous 30 years), Xiamen rapidly built Gaoqi International Airport, Dongdu Deep-water Port, Xiamen Bridge, and Songyu Power Plant. The article explores how Xiamen utilized international loans and local self-funding to break its isolation as a former frontline fortress and construct a modern integrated transport and energy network.</description></item></channel></rss>
